Tasting Notes

Remarkable aromas of rosehip, blueberry, and Malabar black peppercorn lure you in for a palate packed with flavors of blackberry preserves, huckleberry, and ground vanilla bean. Silky tannins linger well into the finish along with notes of cassis, cardamom, and mocha. The exceptional mouthfeel and dark flavors make this the perfect pairing for hearty duck confit ravioli with Cremini mushrooms or a pan-seared pork tenderloin with a cherry glaze. Enjoy now or cellar for the next five to seven years for additional evolution in the bottle.

Notes

One of the largest influences on Ken Wilson’s early life was his grandmother, Allie McClure. A beautiful and popular figure in early King City life, Allie helped to raise Ken, who would live with her for three months of the year during the summer. Along with teaching proper manners, Allie taught Ken many life lessons that have served him well. Ken saw it was only right to name one of the flagship wines for St. Anne’s Crossing after his grandmother.
