Distinctive aromas of Maraschino cherry, hibiscus, and wild apple blossom cajole you into flavors of fresh cherry crumble, boysenberry, and red peppercorn. Plush tannins linger with notes of acai berry, cardamom, and dried tobacco leaf. Impeccable balance and structure make this the perfect pairing for blackened chicken atop a rice pilaf or salted dark chocolate bourbon fudge. Enjoy now or cellar for the next five to seven years for additional development.

The legendary Los Chamizal vineyard grows just above the fog line right above the town of Sonoma in the southern end of Sonoma Valley. These sustainably farmed vineyards employ permanent cover crops in addition to organic compost and fertilizer to provide nutrients to the soil while banning the use of insecticides. Cool breezes from the San Francisco Bay come up through the Carneros AVA to the south to cool the vineyard at night. Chamizal is a Spanish word that translates to “a thicket of hardwood,” accurately describing the hillside vineyard.
