Blending Zinfandel takes skill, patience, and lots of practice. We used three small lots, one from our Dry Creek Estate vineyard in the mountains on the western side of Dry Creek Valley and one from our Chemise vineyard at 1,400 foot elevation in the northwestern side of the Dry Creek Valley. The third came from the gentle rolling hills of the Russian River Valley, bringing together three different soil types with three different clones of Zinfandel to create one harmonious blend that shows the best characteristics of the neighboring appellations.
