Grower Jim McMinn utilized Petite Sirah clippings from the original 1930’s planting when he re-planted his vineyard in 1998. This heritage clone of Petite Sirah thrives in the Russian River Valley thanks to the cool climate and well-draining soils. Often used in blending to add body and structure, cool climate Petite Sirah makes a distinctive stand alone wine featuring ample tannins with balanced acidity and dark fruits with subtle spices. It has been said that Petite Sirah is so unique that the Angels take a little more than their fair share.
