Dry Creek Valley has become one of the great wine regions of the world, partially because of the vision of the original growers who planted Zinfandel in the early 1900’s. The coastal influence creates optimal growing conditions due to its warm days followed by cool nights while the volcanic soil provides many key nutrients that make for a perfect balance between fruit expression and acidity. The distinctive terroir of Dry Creek Valley has fostered the demand for robust, food-friendly, and cellar-worthy Zinfandels. No exception, this old vine Zinfandel includes a field blend of Carignane, Petite Sirah, and Alicante Bouschet from the same old vines planted in the Northern end of the Valley, just south of Lake Sonoma.
