Sonoma Valley often keeps a lower profile when it comes to Cabernet Sauvignon. Perched in the middle of Sonoma Valley with the Santa Rosa plain to the north and cool marine layer coming in from the San Francisco Bay to the south, this vineyard takes full advantage of the warm days and cool nights of the Mediterranean climate. The Vertical Shoot Positioning (VSP) system of this vineyard is 8’4” tall, allowing the vines to capitalize on the slightly warmer days and colder nights that come from being planted above the fog line by blocking the sun from burning the grapes and creating a breezeway to encourage ripening of the small yields that come from this vineyard.
