Elaborate aromas of warm cherry pie, black licorice, and rosehip lure you in for flavors of black cherry cola, currant, and white peppercorn. Silky-smooth tannins linger into the finish with notes of blueberry, hazelnut, and clove. Rich and smooth, this Zinfandel makes the perfect pairing for duck confit crepes with caramelized onions and goat cheese or pork ragù over creamy polenta with drizzles of parmesan. While visiting relatives, Ken Wilson got quite the impression from the endless split rail fencing. Every road, trail and farm was entirely surrounded with the beautiful fencing. Built with very few tools, constructing split rail fencing was a daunting task. After hours of long, hard work, only a small amount of fence would actually be complete. Taking your time and building a quality fence definitely showed. Ken likens the rolling hills of fences to the rolling hills of vineyards today. The same hard work used to build the split rail fences goes into farming our vineyards today, resulting in the best grapes possible that we use to make our wines.
